We've lived in Utah, Nebraska, upper Michigan and now we've settled in Colorado...at least for now! Marley is 10, Isi is 6 and Enzo is 4!

Life is great!

Whoooo! Whoooo! Are you for Halloween!?!?!

One feather duster was torn apart in the creation of this costume....but no owls were harmed.

The hat was the trickiest part. We made it from a pair of sweat pants. The waistband is around her forehead. Cut one leg off and sewed it into the crotch seam. Then cut most of the other leg off and folded it back and stitched some ears. Not the best but not bad. I wish I made the ear stand up better before I took this picture.
All morning we looked for spooky things to watch on youtube.
(the pictures of the spooky things on the computer were requested by the owl...
I couldn't resist her requests)
Doesn't this owl have beautiful nails?
She has a cute striped turtle neck that she will under the sweater tonight.
Forgot to have her put it on this morning.

Now she's all ready for school.

After school we are trick or treating our street.
Then we are going to the Soo to pick up dad.
Then we are trick or treating the downtown.
Then we are going to our friend Noel's house and having chicken calzones!
And then we are trick or treating Noel's neighborhood!
When we get home we will watch It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!
(all the while eating/snacking on CANDY!)
Then we will crash into bed.

HAPPY SPOOKS & HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

A Lizard, A Punkie & A Cute Sweater

On the eve of our move to Michigan, my sister Liz made Marley a sweater.
Perfect for our cold winter/spring drive across the country.
It is so cute!

She worked on it late into the night because the next morning we found it hanging in a grocery bag on the outside knob of my parents house.
It was a fun surprise!

I am a bad sister because Liz never got to see it on Marley.
And it's been six months already!
I should have posted pictures of her in it sooner!
FINIALLY!
She can.

Thank you Aunt Liz for the adorable homemade sweater!
(it's hard to get Punkie to hold still)

Thanks again Lizard!
We love you and miss you SO SO SO much!

Hair Cuts & Coconut Butts

Shickadance!
I forgot to take my camera for Marley's first haircut.
And my phone was home charging so I didn't even get a picture on my phone.
Oh well.
I can't get pictures off my phone anyway because I'm not smart enough to figure out how.
Or I need a memory card first.
Something like that.
I do have a picture hidden away on my phone somewhere of Marley's first fake hair cut.
So that's good enough.

Fake hair cut?
Before we left Utah my sister-in-law Whitney cut my hair.
Marley wanted a hair cut too, but I didn't think it was time yet.
So, Whitney played along and pretended to cut Marley's hair.
And I took pictures.
Someday when I figure it out...
I will post EVERY picture from my phone.
And you WILL like it!

Neither myself nor the hair dresser could bear to cut off any more of Marley's curls than just a trim.
Then the hair dresser couldn't help herself...or she did help herself and put Marley's hair in pig tails.
She got TWO suckers and of course BOTH have to be open at the same time!
Which they are now....but not in this picture.
Do you love that fabric behind her? Me too!
Someday I will fashion it into real curtains for the front and back doors.
These are for REAL pig tails, eh?
 Woa! Too close.
Taking these pictures myself.

 I love it.
It's an A line...almost.

Still growing out from this cute hair cut from Aug 2010.
Loved the feel of the pixie but didn't like how it looked on me.

Which do you like better?

*Ok, no coconut butts...but it rhymed and we like to rhyme and we like to say butts....sometimes.

Keep crackin' us up....

All of Sunday morning, Nathan's Marley-given-title was Ballet Teacher.
HA HA HA!

She needs a dance class really really badly.

The way she talks....
(boy! does she love to talk!)

Lellow = Yellow
"I can't know how!" = "I don't know how."
"It's too har-ed." = "It's too hard!"
She says that anytime she doesn't want to do what we have asked her....like clean up.

She also adds syllables to lots of small words like:
Ha-ow = How
Da-yad = Dad
Kee-al-sey = Kelsey (her cousin)
Say-yam = Sam (her cousin)

"Shut it guys!" = "Shut up guys!"
Which we are not aloud to say and she has only said twice.

Anything that has happened in the past (no matter how long ago) happened:
most commonly - "last night"
but sometimes - "lasterday"

Phrases she has picked up from us/me....
"Oh my gosh!" (frustration or surprise)
"Sheesh ka beebee weesh!" (surprise)
"Chicken Fricassee!" (like a swear)
"Shickadance!" (also like a swear)
"Home again home again jiggity jig."(when we get home)
"Whatever." (with attitude)

She loves to talk about her dreams.
I started this.
I started asking her what she dreamed about before she even knew what dreams were.
But, she caught on fast and she loves to discuss them every morning.
Most of the time I think she makes stuff up...but, often I think she really does remember some dreams.

All week I haven't been able to find my summer slip on shoes.
So when we go out and wait for the bus, first I gotta get socks on and my tie up shoes.
(so inconvenient!)

This morning I found them!
They were being useful in Marley's little kitchen.

Can you see them?
Yea, they're just hangin' out, holdin' felt fruit and scoops of ice cream.

I'm actually a little surprised she didn't pour water in them.
(she loves to get water from our fridge door dispenser and then play with it in her kitchen)

The End.
