We've lived in Utah, Nebraska, upper Michigan and now we've settled in Colorado...at least for now! Marley is 10, Isi is 6 and Enzo is 4!

Life is great!

Where oh Where is Spring?

We have only seen small glimpses of Spring.

In fact, the weather has been a giant wrestle.

A FIGHT between Winter and Spring.

Winter..."NO!!! I DON'T WANT TO GO!!!
I still want to rain and sleet and snow!!!
I want it to look like Christmas time still.
I still want to hide the sun and make things snow covered, cold and dry and dark!"

Spring..."Winter! These people need the sun!
They need to be able to go outside and feel warmth on their faces.
They need the vitamin D.
They need to smell the damp earth.
They need to see blossoms and green grass and bright blue sky and white puffy clouds.
They need to be able to walk and get exercise.
They need to feel a cool breeze....enough with the harsh cold wind.
Winter!
They need all things Spring!
Go away!"

I am SO glad Spring is fighting for us.

Spring pictures....so far.

Last Thursday we finally made our way southeast to Barbeau and went to Cozy Corners...
a restaurant that has all you can eat wings on Thursdays.

I don't know about this booster seat.

 Must. Stare. At. TV. ALWAYS.

This place has TONS of taxidermy animals.
Many looked local.
Many looked African.

Cozy Corners is very near the waters edge.
Behind Nathan's head, out the window, you can see snow, then a thin blue line.
That that is the water...I'm not sure if that is still the Saint Mary's river or if it is called by another name, this south.
But the Saint Mary's flows into it and then it flows in the Lake Huron.
Out the window, beyond the blue line you can see land.
That is Neebish Island.
One of several islands up north, off the Upper Peninsula.

 What? I'm not dropping anything?

 This area is SO beautiful!
 Marley took this picture (below).

Marley took the majority of the rest of these pictures.

 Isi is dancing.
She LOVES to dance.
Now she is trying to attack Marley.
She LOVES to attack.

 "Marley? Why you run away?"
 Isi LOVES this bear.
Grandma Alger gave it to Marley a couple of years ago.
Marley liked it but rarely played with it.
Just after Isi was born Marley said we could sell it.
We sell stuff at a local consignment shop.
I suggested we let Isi have it.
She said, "Okay! I will share it with her!"
Can't just GIVE it to your sister. I guess.

We haven't used the baby carseat for months but we keep it in Isi's room.
I used it one day, when Marley was at school and my friend came and picked me up.
It was convenient.
Since them the carseat hasn't made it back into the closet.
But Isi is made to sit in it from time to time.

Spring break....
March 30 - the snow is melting!!!!!
 March 31 - POOT! It's snowing!!!
April 1 - No Joke. Still Snowing....why is she smiling???
 Shoveling in April stinks!
 Several pictures by Marley.

Marley likes to play with our Cranium game and then it is SO hard to clean it up.
For her anyway.
It takes forever.

Sometimes we like to relax with cucumbers on our eyes.
 This really feels SO good!
Have you tried it?
Then Marley likes to eat them.
Which is think is weird and kinda gross.

 Seriously...it feels SO good!
Marley even eats the ones off my eyes.
Eeewww.
Oh well, whatever.

It snowed April 2...no picture.

THEN on April 3 it was Sunny and CLEAR and....
cold but, beautiful!

Forgot to take a picture.

Today....
April 4
 Huge flakes all day.
 Booooo!!!!
 Spring!!!
Keep fighting!!!

What if you had two people mothering you....

Then you would probably spend a lot of time in a stroller(s).

These were taken January 31....one of our sick days this cold long winter.
Too bad Marley doesn't usually act sick when she is sick.
You can tell these two are really on the move!

What if you had THREE people mothering you?
I did...sometimes I still do.
I've grown to love it though, most of the time, and I think Isi will too.

SPRING BREAK STARTS TOMORROW!!!!

Hi! I'm back!

Well, the whirlwind is dying down....not really.
A LOT has happened since I last looked at our blog.
Or anyone else's for that matter.

I am back to checking blogs too!
I have missed it!
It will take me awhile to catch up on all my friends and family.
I WILL and I'm EXCITED!
So, be expecting some comments from ME!!!

And if you've been taking a break too....start up again!!!
NOW!!!
(There are SO many of you! LIZ!!! JULIE!!!)

Yep, getting back to blogging...
even if it's just a video or pictures or a random thought or complaint or whatever.

Here is the video of the day.
Sorry you have to put up with my fake laughter....
but it's worth it for the giggly girl.
And Nathan's handsome face makes any fake laughter worth it too.

In the midst of a whirlwind...

We have been casually looking for a place to rent in the Soo, for months.
Mainly because we want to be closer to Nathan's work.

This was tricky because most of the places we could afford were ANCIENT!
Did you know that Sault Ste. Marie is one of the oldest towns in the U.S.!!!
Because of the fur trade!
So, lots of the houses are OLD!!
And drafty.
So, even if we could afford the rent the landlords were telling us the gas for heating in the winter would get up to $150 a month!!!

Yaowzah!

Well, we found a perfect place on December 8th and they wanted to fill it right away!
So we signed!

Paying double rent in December is CRAZY!
But, thankfully, we were prepared.

Christmas shopping was done, thank goodness!

We had a lot to do the week of the 8th.
Family Night with a family in our branch (I will blog about this soon!)
Get the utilities in our name.
Giving our current landlord notice.
Policy Council for Marley's school (where I was elected Chairperson and elected to the Headstart Association).
Branch Christmas party.

Needless to say, we are having an extra busy December.

Here is the low down on the house we are in the process of moving into:

Four bedrooms!
One and a half bath.
No garage :-(
But, it does have a shed that will be just right for our garage stuff, minus the car, of course.

Built in 1994.
Remodeled six months ago.
New carpet
New kitchen cabinets and dishwasher and counter tops and sink.
WE WILL HAVE A DISHWASHER!!!!

AND this is our first place to live where we are not sharing a wall with anyone else!!!

Seriously!
This is big news!

Now for the pictures!

This is on the front door....from the last tenant.
Cute huh?
Living room. Front door on right.
Living room.
It is heated with what is called "radiant" heating and each "outside" wall has those vents.
It's going to make for creative furniture arrangements.
But we can tell it is already SO much warmer and better insulated than our current place.

View into the kitchen from living room.
Hallway on left then bathroom through the doorway.
Half bath / laundry room.
opposite toilet and sink is washer dryer hook ups
 kitchen

 back door
back door and "pantry" but it's the lamest pantry closet.
coat rod in the kitchen pantry?
 and that weird little bench?
I think it's for the dryer exhaust...or whatever the dryer emits.
 shed in back

this is looking into the master bedroom. Master because it has the biggest closet.
Going into the door of master
Master closets (bathroom is on the other side of closet.)

Can you tell Marley is excited?
Bedroom on back next to master

We are really excited!
So close to work, play, grocery shopping, church, friends!

And we just found out, Marley will be able to transfer to the school in the Soo!

We have already started moving random stuff we don't use day to day.
Every time we go to the Soo we load the car up.

We are packing our Christmas stuff up on Christmas day.
Then Dec 26-28th we are packing everything in the house.
And by "We" I mean me and some Sister-Friends from the branch.

Then the Elders' Quorum is helping us move on the 29th.

It is all working out very nicely.
We feel so blessed.
