Looks like we made it!

That title is from a Barry Manilow song. No, I'm not a closet Manilow lover....I'm an out in the open Manilow lover.  Look, I don't follow him around and see all his concerts...never been to one and don't really want to, but I do love my Ultimate Manilow CD.

ANYWAY!

We made it to Michigan!  My dad drove out with me and Marley and we made it in 2 days! 1,806 miles in 2 days!  When I say "my Dad drove out with me and Marley," what I really mean is he drove the whole way! He's a driving trooper! Yesterday morning he got on the train in Grand Rapids, MI and went to Chicago. In Chicago he got off and had a 3 hour lay over and then got on another train which he is still on right now. He will arrive in Provo tonight around 9:30!  He loves trains so he has actually been looking forward to this trip. And last I talked to him, yesterday when he was in Chicago, he was having a great time.

This is a short post because we are busy unpacking and settling into our new home. I just wanted everyone to know we made it to Michigan safely. I have lots of stories about the trip....but, very little pictures.  I had been stressed out about driving our car across the country but thankfully we made it and having my dad there and driving made it so much easier and less stressful.  I was also sick (not in a picture taking mood). I did take some pictures of Marley on my phone...maybe I'll share those. We slept in Lincoln for about 5 hours at our friends' house. Two other friends came to see us there....I miss Lincoln!

I left my keys at a rest stop. And while driving back home after dropping my dad off in Grand Rapids, we slid off the road in a snow storm...not much damage to the car and we are fine but that is yet another story for another day.

Thank you so much to all of our friends and family that helped us move. SO MANY helped and supported us.  We continue to feel your love and support.  We have had two days of rain and snow but today the sun is shinning!

Full reports of our adventures will follow.  Stay tuned!

You are a Manilooney... I'm glad you made it safely and were reunited with your Farmer, Natey Poo. By the way, you need to update your header.

We're so glad you are safe and all together again. I can't believe we lived 4 hours apart for 7 months and then visited Lincoln just a week apart, and yet we still haven't seen you since last summer. What's the deal?

What do you say we come visit you on our next Spring Break trip?
