To Our Adoring Fans....

This summer while we were in Utah we made sure to take pictures of all our immediate family so we could make a memory book for Marley. You know, so she could work on remembering our loved ones. She loves flipping through the pages and squealing at the funny faces!

The way it usually goes is, Marley finds the book and starts looking through it and pointing at people, then Nathan or I say the name of whomever she is pointing. The other day Marley and I were looking at the book and she started saying the names after I said them!

It reminded me of the scene in The Miracle Worker when Hellen Keller finally associates the symbols Annie Sullivan has been making in her hand with the objects she touches in the other hand. Hellen runs Annie ragged that day rushing from one thing to the next, soaking in all knowledge, now that she understands.

Okay, it wasn't that dramatic or nearly as close to being a miracle, but it was exciting for us!

So, this video is dedicated to The Orange Oracle and Company (Matt and Sam)...and pretty much anyone else who is missing our little Punxsutawney.

That's fun - such a good idea. We didn't have a book but family pictures on a book shelf that we would do that - go over all the names and point at the aunts and uncles and grandmas and grandpas. I even made up a fabulous song - to the tune of "Ten Little Indians" Grandpa Wally and Grandma Judy, Grandpa Wally and Grandma Judy etc....They love Eric Hardester. It was a hit in our house for a very long time. I'll have to try singing that to Eric and see if it does anything to him.

I love it! It sounds like everytime you say, "Who's that?" She says, "Marlayna". She is so smart and cute. I can't wait to show this to Sam.

I watched the video in silence because Jesse was exhausted when he got home today so he fell asleep early...and I'd hate to wake him. She is adorable, and I can't wait to hear it too.

Hehe! So cute -- her "cooper" sounds like "pooper". I love it! You should totally send us a picture of you guys because Amber only knows Marley from her baby pics & I don't think she'd really recognize you guys. I have a little album of family members for her & you guys are missing from it.
